How many of us are actually eating the seven servings of fruit – and especially vegetables – that are recommended daily to reduce the risk of premature death? (1) While it can be pretty tricky to figure out how to sneak in a few extra veggies with each meal or snack, juicing makes it much easier.
Juicing also allows you to get adventurous with the produce you are eating. As humans, we get in the habit of purchasing the same fruits and veggies over and over again. The exciting part is that juicing gives us the freedom to try new varieties without having to find recipes or worry whether or not the rest of the family will enjoy them.
Parents, juices are an especially good option if you have children who are picky eaters. They’ll enjoy drinking the juice, and you’ll love knowing they are getting their nutrition in.
Drinking juice is like taking a shot of instant, delicious nutrition. Since all the insoluble fiber – that’s the fiber your body has to work to digest – has been removed through the juicing process, digestion becomes a lot easier on the body. (5) This also results in quicker and easier absorption of vitamins and minerals.
With tens of millions of people being on stomach acid-suppressing drugs — and for older folks who often don’t produce enough stomach acid — making the gut work less to extract nutrients can be a huge benefit. Juices require less of the stomach’s digestive processing (churning, acid, and pepsin). Remember to gently swirl the juices around in your mouth before swallowing to add oral enzymes to further ease digestion.
When drinking a juice cleanse, you’re immediately eliminating all animal products (meat, milk, eggs, and cheese), coffee, alcohol, wheat, gluten, and processed foods. Right away, you’re already off to a great start by not consuming those foods and you’re putting your body in the best situation to benefit from the juice cleanse.
Day 1 of your juice cleanse is an adjustment period. You’re probably going to miss chewing, and may experience coffee/alcohol withdrawal symptoms. Once getting through this successfully, most people begin to feel much more energy and clarity than they ever did with frequent caffeine drinks.
Ask anybody you know, “Do you drink enough water throughout the day?” and we’re willing to bet most of them don’t. Yes, coffee and tea do have water in them, but using coffee and tea as your main source of hydration isn’t ideal because your body needs to filter out the coffee and tea before it can fully benefit from the water. Drinking our juice cleanse, and plenty of water (6-8 glasses/day), you’ll help your body function more efficiently, increase your energy (often removing the afternoon brain fog), and help ensure proper elimination of toxins.
Juicing doesn’t really shrink the stomach — although it feels like it does. Juicing eliminates the habit of comfort eating, and helps you feel satisfied with less food. This provides a major psychological boost to help get over the hurdle of changing habits.
To best support all phases of the body’s natural detoxification process, you need a very broad range of plant-supplied nutrients, like antioxidants and anti-inflammatory foods. By drinking super-nutrient dense Pure Raw juices, you allow your body to have more of the resources it needs to support the phases of detoxification and to remove the cumulative toxins stored in the body.
As you are feeling better, and having more energy, you will also naturally lose weight. Some of this is water weight, but some is fat. A juice cleanse (three days is ideal) is a great way to jump-start a diet. It not only helps control appetite and cravings but is naturally lower in calories while supplying the body with concentrated, beneficial, energizing, and healing nutrients.
With kale and lemon being common ingredients in our juices (especially the green juices), you’ll tap into some natural, anti-aging benefits. With kale being an anti-oxidant powerhouse, it helps your body to fight the harmful effects of oxidation. Kale is also a great source of iron, calcium, and vitamins A, C, and K. Kale also have a surprising amount of omega-3 fatty acids, which are an important component of any anti-aging diet. (6)
Lemon is a great way to boost your body’s pH to a more alkaline state. It also helps to detox your liver and is great for helping the body cleanse itself. (7)
Ginger is in many of our juices and plays a big role in helping to improve mental clarity.
“Memory, mental clarity, and emotional stability can be greatly improved by consuming ginger. Memory loss can be a result of poor organ health or slow digestion and ginger helps with both of those issues. Memory is also associated with the purity of the blood which is improved by the increased digestive rate provided by ginger.”

Carrots play a crucial role in helping to improve vision and promote healthier skin and hair.
“Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the liver. Vitamin A is transformed in the retina, to rhodopsin, a purple pigment necessary for night vision.
Vitamin A and antioxidants protect the skin from sun damage. Deficiencies of vitamin A cause dryness to the skin, hair and nails. Vitamin A prevents premature wrinkling, acne, dry skin, pigmentation, blemishes and uneven skin tone.”

All in all, we’re very excited for you to begin creating a healthier lifestyle for yourself with a juice cleanse. Begin the preparation for your juice cleanse by eliminating harmful animal products, processed foods and alcohol from your diet. This will put your body in a better state to experience healing. Also, by flushing your body with an incredible amount of nutrition thru consuming natural, cold-pressed, pure, raw, fruit and vegetable juices, you’ll get the vitamins and minerals your body needs to Fuel Your Healthy Lifestyle.
It’s best to ease into a juice cleanse to prepare your body properly. We suggest completely eliminating all processed foods, caffeine, and alcohol (meat, dairy, sugar, packaged food items, coffee, energy drinks, etc.) 3-5 days prior to a cleanse and focusing on eating a mostly RAW, plant-based diet (uncooked fruits, vegetables, herbs, nuts, grains, and seeds). This will put your body in an optimal state to benefit from the cleanse.
If your diet consists of a lot of fried and processed foods, you should follow a RAW, plant-based diet 5-7 days before your cleanse.
We recommend you consume a juice every 2 hours throughout the day, while drinking plenty of water in between, to aid in flushing out toxins from your system. Water is the most important substance in sustaining human life. It transports oxygen and nutrients to your blood and helps flush out toxins, impurities and excess salts. We also recommend drinking non-caffeinated herbal teas in the morning and throughout the day.
We recommend easing back into consuming solid foods, by continuing a plant-based diet of mostly raw fruits and vegetables (steamed or raw), and vegetable-based soups. In general, the benefits of the cleanse can be extended, if you continue to follow a whole-food, plant-based diet. Stay away from processed foods, refined sugar, meat, milk, cheese, eggs, and alcohol, for a few days, at least.
